Wilmington alias ONE TREE HILL

OMG!!!!!!....

I was in Tree Hill also called Wilmington. The town where One Tree Hill was filmed. It was unbelievable. So we arrived on saturday in our motel. There were some really creepy guys, but doesn't metter we are here after 9 hours of driving we finally arrived. After unpacking we drove over to the river court.

For those how don't know the show: at that place they always play basketball. After that we drove to the cape side and made a little pit stop at Karen's Cafe (also from the show). But what I found so interesting is that this was an actual Cafe that they build in the middle of the town. And they only use it for filming.
OK they have definitely enough money after 8 seasons for that.

The next day we started a house tour. So we drove to all the adress of the houses they used for the filming (Dan's, Karen's, Peyton's and Brooke's).
After that we went to the Studios because they said on their website you can make tours on the weekends. So the end of that story is that Aylin and I (big One Tree Hill fans) were standing on the real, actual, still used film sets. I was standing in Peyton's recording studio called "Red Bedroom Records". That was for me the best part (that sounds like I'm one of those creepy fans, not at all.......but it was really cool to see all that stuff). We also saw Nathan and Haley's House and Julian and Brooke's House.

After that we tried to find the place where Peyton's car brakes down and Lucas picks her up. That was really hard at one point we were on a street (if you can call it that) in the middle of nowhere (definitely not the right place). But after several streets we finally found it.....but I must say it was not that spectacular that I thought it would be.
We also drove to the Tric club and the school.
And of course we drove to the famous bridge that you can see in the intro of the show. I tried to look as cool as Lucas does when he is jogging over the bridge......yeah?!.....lets just say it was the wrong light and that's why it didn't look as good as when Lucas does it.

The next morning we tried to find them filming somewhere and we think they were filming in Karen's Cafe but you couldn't see anything. Because they covered everything up with sheets. So we drove back to the river court and anjoyed the last time there before we had to leave for Washington D.C.

Hopefully I have time tomorrow to write about Washington before I leave the USA tomorrow.

Good night Sarah

The Fresh Princess from New York

So Philly....The second time for me first time for Aylin...
I gave her a tour through Philly we saw the Liberty Bell and I tried to lick on her (like in "How I met your mother") but I got stopped. Shoot that was my big dream to lick on an old, touched by thousand of people (how I bet didn't wash their hands after being in the restroom) and dirty bell.
After that we saw the City Hall where Nicolas Cage tried to solve the mistery of the Nationals Treasures....;-)

We took some pictures at the Franklin Bridge, saw the LOVE sign and went from there to Museum of Art. They have the most gorgeous garden their and on the other side the steps that ROCKY ran up.....I did it to.....of course......but I couldn't jump after that anymore like he did. ;-P

And than we drove to the cuisine of my hostmom to sleep there.....thank you again for your hospitality
It was so nice.....sleeping finally in separate bedrooms after 2 1/2 weeks.....no it was totally fine before....;-)

So the next morning we went of to Wilmington alias ONE TREE HILL omg omg omg.........

Love yu'h Sarah

New York City?!

So finally we are back or more me and Aylin is seeing it for the third time my second home.....NEW YORK CITY.....I missed you so much.
After a 4 hours bus ride we finally arrived in the city. Trying to drag all our luggage to the Carter Hotel to find out that they are overbooked with 80 rooms.....80 rooms that is not possible....2 I would understand but 80......omg I was so angry.
But thank you to my lovely hostamily. I called them and they said it is no problem we can stay with them......Thank you again for that....

Back at Larchmont in the house of my hostfamily. Weird to see the new aupair but she seems so nice. So I'm very happy for them.
The next day we made sure that we are getting our money back from the hotel. And went after that in the city. We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge to one of my favorite places Brooklyn Heights and got on the way some scoones, we got on the Staten Island Ferry and saw the Stature of Liberty, we saw the Flat Iron Building and ate at SHAKE SHACK (the best hamburger, fries and frozen custard that you can get.....that was my last bite for a long time......cryyyyyyyyy)

After that we went to the Manhattan Mall and on the 5th ave back to the Grand Central and to my hostfamily.
I must say that we had that day lovely weather. Sun and everything.......

The last day in the city the weather was not nice at all. But that's the east coast you never know what you're going to get.
We started at the Palace Hotel. That was the hotel in the first season of gossip girl and went from their over the fifth up. And from their up with the subway to the 86th street to Dean&Deluca and got Sushi, Bread and other yummi stuff. Our plan was to sit on a nice spot in the Central Park (one of my favorite places in NYC) watching cute guys running by but of course the half of the park was closed because of a Andrea Borcelli Concert and it started to rain. So we ate our lunch under a tree sitting on the Dean&Deluca bags....fun....never done that before in New York.
And back to my hostfamily for dinner for the last time........buhu.....not for ever.....but still........

So the next day we got our car and left New York.......that was hard.......it's different than leaving home because you know you are going to be back at home in a year......but here????.......I just wanna live in New York City......

So guys that's it I'm going to bed and tomorrow everything about philly and my licking the Liberty Bell (or more trying)
Love yu'h Sarah

Boston the american London ;-)

Ok Boston.....finally I have seen you......Very nice and friendly city.....we stayed at the Bedford Plaza Hotel (very nice, courteous and helpful.....they even picked us up from the airport after I called them last minute)....so if the hotels in the city are to expensiv for you guys take that one and the bus and subway into the city are so easy to take.....(Aylin thinks that it is pretty annoying because she says it takes to long and that the last bus to the hotel goes back at 6.30 pm.......but I did't care)

So what did Aylin and I do?! We went to Harvard....omg.......I was there......I feel so much smarter now....not really but it is nice, not as nice as Yale but pretty nice.....but I must say the Starbucks in Harvard are pretty weird....you get a number on the receipt that you need to put in the elevator to get in the basement to the restroom....so complecated....Aylin landed in the upper level not in the basement...you need a Harvard degree for that....so finally the mistery behind what everyone is learning in Harvard is uncovered.

After that we went into the city....really nice city, but reminds me (not that I was ever there but Aylin told me) of London with all the green and those black metall fences. So we went through the common, we saw the City Hall, the Cheers Bar, Newbury street, King's Chapel and went over the Longfellow Bridge...TWICE.....because Aylin forced me to. After that we were so done we went back to the Hotel with a quick pit stop for some food.

And this morning we took the bus (best bus ever: glas roof, Wi-fi, sockets and so much more and we just payed $5,25 per person for a 4 hour drive.....what the heck is that......just can say AWESOME) to New York....but New York is a different story....

bye guys, love yah Sarah

Hangover 1 1/2

So Guys I'm on the plain to Boston but 48 hours ago was a different world. Believe me....
We arrived in Las Vegas at that time. Omg it is really like the movies.....hangover shows the real Las Vegas. We slept in the hotel Circus Circus in the Skyrise tower and had a view all over down town. Amazing!!!!
Our first night was pretty "lame" (nothing is lame in Vegas) we checked in, got our room and made a tour through our hotel......before we went to In and Out Burger for dinner. Just so you know we had an adventure park in our hotel. That means that we had rollercoasters and other things that you can not imagine in our HOTEL. Not outside, in the hotel.

We were supposed to drive to the Grand Canyon the next day. But it was supposde to rain so we decided that we would spent our day in Las Vegas. And that was the best decision we could have made. So We went to the Vegas sign, Hard Rock Hotel and back. But Sandra and I wanted to see MORE....so the both of us drove with the car to Treasure Island parked their and took the tram over to the Mirage (it is like the rain forest in the Mirage hotel) and after that to the HANGOVER Hotel the Ceasar Palace. Omg I was their where the handsome (I would marry him to any time) Bradley Cooper was....omg......

Back to the hotel we went to the dinner buffet......it was good but the waitress must have thought that we eat like animals. We had so many plates for 3 girls.

After that we got ready for the night in Vegas. So we took 4 hours to get ready and drink something (v**k*).....yeah I drank some too...... And we danced around......no one should ever see those pics......we should delet them......but none of us was drunk we were fine not like the other thousands of peopleon the street on the way to the mirage where we got into the "King Ink" night club with live tattooing. Awesome!!!!!
No worries I did't get a seconde one.......
Met some to drunk guys! Not my type, drunk guys!

So after that we went to the McDonalds and Ceasar Hotel barefoot (and I stepped into glas....hurts) and came back to the hotel at 4 am or something like that.
And than we left at 9 am the hotel to the airport. When the alarm went off I wanted to to crash my iPod.......seriously who can wake up after 4 hours and be hapoy and awake.....definitely not ME!!!!!!!! I was so tired........Aylin and I went of to Boston and Sandra back to Germany.

So and the next one about Boston is coming....

San Diego alias Mexico in America

So this was San Diego....I would say definetly not my fav on the west coast.....sorry to many mexican that are also just speaking spanish......and think I'm also spanish.....so they speak no english with me......YIPPIE.....
The hotel was pretty nice, the only bummer was that we had no WI-FI....but good for Starbucks they had a higher turnover

We went to the old historic part of San Diego.....okkkk....boring....it reminds me of one of those road trip movies where the whole family (most of the time 6-7 people) is stuffed into one car with a trailer house on the back....and the kids get forced to do sight seeing with there parents.....and this would be one of those towns where everything looks so fake historic and everyone is wearing costumes.....authentic

But the down town part of San Diego is really nice....with all those little shops and restaurants in the gas lamp distric....the harbour is nice but not my fav........for my opinion was it to modern designed.....
But I must say the Balboa Park was really pretty......all the architektur there is unbelievable you get feeling of beeing on vacation in Spain......

We almost went over the mexican boarder......but we took in a little car maneuver the last american EXIT....puuuuhhhh......that was not planed
That would be something......we three girls in Mexico.......TEQUILLA but not for meeeeeee ;-)

So and than there was the big catastrophe.......the whole power went out in all parts of San Diego.......no light, no wi-fi, nothing.....so I needed to play with MATCHES..... ;-) (hahah just for you Sarah)

So and now after a night without electricity and everything we are on our way to LAS VEGAS......VEGAS BABY
WUUUUUHHHHHUUUUUUU

Love you Sarah

Ps. One should think I'm a magnet for stuff like that: earthquake, hurricane, recorde temperature, no power anywhere and what is next???

Laguna Beach Season 6

So now we are here.....MTV decided to shoot another season just for 3 days with us girls. So starting: Aylin Wempner, Sandra (she wanted to stay unknown) and who am I? My name is Sarah Last but all my friends call me SL (not really). We had some pretty harsh days in Laguna Beach.

So that's what happened in Laguna the last 3 days. Aylin got a request for friendship on facebook. Some one that she didn't know. But at the end everythink turned out fine because those strangers had found her lost suitcase.

Monday we ate breakfast at Ruby's an old fashioned diner. Because of the bad looking weather Aylin, Sandra and I decided to go to the Laguna Hills Mall......of course we didn't find anything......ok that is a lie we found steven madden handbags and I found some Michael Kors shoes.....and within short manor of time we had the whole trunck filled with sopping bags.....ups

After that we thought we should take a walk through this beautiful and arty little town Laguna Beach.
We went to a store called Art of the soul....so cute and the stuff they had there was so cool. I just loved it......if I would have the money I would buy everything there.
For lunch we had the famouse caramel glased apples....yummie....but you can never finish those apples there is so much suggar you get a suggar shock.....had three pieces of nine.

Quick back to the hotel to get ready for dinner because I made a reservation for Nick's at 8.30 p.m....so if you are in Laguna go there....the atmosphere is really nice and I really liked the food.

Back to the hotel we had some good and bad news....what do you wanna hear first.......so the bad news......my wallet got stolen (the girls said that maybe I lost it but I don't believe that I checked my handbag everytime I took something out of it) but the good thing is I had no credit cards, ID's or passports in there just $300 and I'm so angry about that....why why why did that need to happen?

Ok I need to live with it.....but I don't want to I could just cry....I'm so annoyed about it.

So today we are leaving Laguna Beach and are driving to SanDiego......so lets enjo the last day on the 1000 steps beach of Laguna Beach

Soon more about the trip bye guys your Sarah

Ps. Wrote that on the beach.....just climbed up the 1000 steps I think I'm going to collapse.....

Glamour, real housewives and a LOST suitcase

Los Angeles......wow....always a dream and now a dream come true.

I was there.....where the Hollywood letters are, where Bruce Wills pressed his feed("s" just for you girls) and hands in the cement, where Frankie Boy has his star and where every waitor/waitress wants to be an actor/actress/singer/artist (ok sorry some of them wanna be waitor and waitress).

On saturday we went to see the Hollywood sign, Santa Monica and the Rodeo Drive. The hollywood sign was what I expected. It's just when I saw that sign for the first time I knew finally I am there where all those movies (not that I ever saw one of them) were made. All the glamour and stars. But actually it is so dirty on some streets omg. But that doesn't mettet because I saw SANDRA BULLOCK'S house.....yeah you heared right I was there. We drove to her house we didn't see her but I bet she saw us through her cameras.
and we "walked in Julia Roberts shoes" on the Rodeo Drive. Really nice there and Aylin bought something at Tiffany & Co. so sweet.

After that we went to the new restaurant of one of the real housewifes of Beverly Hills. I must say those wifes are really not the smartest women on earth but the restaurant was really nice and the food was really good.......

Tummy filed and on the way to Santa Monica, it is nice there but omg is that a long walk in the sand just to get to the water. Omg that was my excersice for one month. :-P

We stopped quick at one million dollar shake on the way back to our hotel. Yummiiiiiiiiiiii I had the billion dollar shake. That was ferrero Rocher and Bananas. Yummmmiiiiiiii :-) best ever.....also better than the shake shack one sorryyyyyyy but I still love your burgers and no one makes a basil frozen custard as yours is.

So finally back we discovered that one of Aylin's suitcase was gone. After talking to the creepy front desk guy we called the police, we talked to the security guy and after that went to the police and made a report.
But respect Aylin......I wouldn't have stayed so calm like you did.

So after all that excitment we went to bed.

More tomorrow about how we maybe found the back again and how gorgeous and arty Laguna Beach is!!!!

Love you guys Sarah

Route 1 not 66

Hey guys so we left San Francisco (still sing the name) this friday. So 11 hours on the road....nothing could be more like heaven...:-P actually I must say it was unbelievable. So we drove down the route 1 and I must say if you have the chance to do that. DO IT!!!!

It is so gorgeous even if you don't have good weather. And we didn't have good weather at all.
But it is unbelievable. You always ask yourself (ok maybe you don't but I do) where do they film all those beaches and cliffs scenes. Now you know.
Finally we know where the Davidoff Cool Water Guy/Model/Actor/Singer (right now Paul Walker) jumps of the cliff.......WHOOHO! Well I lie and I'm easy (not really.....but saying whooho lets me always think about song 2 of Blur ;-) )

So finally after hours of driving, me getting a little bit Aylin driving sick (no not really....I think drinking a frappuccino with soy milk but normal whipped cream is not the best thing with lactose intolerance ;-) my own fault), driving to the airpot to pick up Chrissi, me almost jumping out of the car while I was driving it because I drank to much water and needed immediately a bathroom.....we finally arrived at our hotel and went to bed.....

That's what I'm going to do as well right now.

Love you guys Sarah

Ps. Tomorrow everything about L.A., Sandra Bullocks House and the stolen suitcase.....sounds scary....dramatic ending music now

Painted Ladies

Hey guys totally forgot the video of the painted ladies. So here it is.

And later more about my trip on route 1 and L.A.

And we going to San Francisco

So that was San Francisco. Unbelievable!!!! We had some very exciting moments. On the first day while we were in the bus (ok you never wanna drive the bus here) a black car drove by. But that was not so exciing. The exciting part was that a chinese guy jumped on the hood of the car while it was driving. Crazy people;-)
Than the next day a car crashed in our bus (I'm slowly starting to think that we should better not take the bus.....good for us that we got our car that day).

And this morning (realy not on purpose) Aylin showered at 4.45 am because I put an alarm on for her on my iPod. But it still had east coast time. So instead of 7.45 am she woke up to shower at 4.45 am. SORRY :-*

So what did we do those couples of days in San Francisco (please articulate the city more melodic). We saw china town, the golden gate bridge, the crookedest st, twin peak, golden gate park, painted ladies, union sq, fisherman's wharft and (the part of San Francisco where you just get heigh of walking on that street) haight and ashbury.

We did a lot of stuff in 2 days....but I love San Francisco.....it is so beautiful and different than New York (but don't be jealous New York you will always be first big love)

We also aet in a very fency Thai restaurante with Aylin's friends yesterday. Sandra and I had such a yummi five spices chicken curry......yummi

And today we are leaving to Los Angeles.....Ryan Reinolds I am coming

Xoxo Sarah
