OMG!!!!!!....
I was in Tree Hill also called Wilmington. The town where One Tree Hill was filmed. It was unbelievable. So we arrived on saturday in our motel. There were some really creepy guys, but doesn't metter we are here after 9 hours of driving we finally arrived. After unpacking we drove over to the river court.
For those how don't know the show: at that place they always play basketball. After that we drove to the cape side and made a little pit stop at Karen's Cafe (also from the show). But what I found so interesting is that this was an actual Cafe that they build in the middle of the town. And they only use it for filming.
OK they have definitely enough money after 8 seasons for that.
The next day we started a house tour. So we drove to all the adress of the houses they used for the filming (Dan's, Karen's, Peyton's and Brooke's).
After that we went to the Studios because they said on their website you can make tours on the weekends. So the end of that story is that Aylin and I (big One Tree Hill fans) were standing on the real, actual, still used film sets. I was standing in Peyton's recording studio called "Red Bedroom Records". That was for me the best part (that sounds like I'm one of those creepy fans, not at all.......but it was really cool to see all that stuff). We also saw Nathan and Haley's House and Julian and Brooke's House.
After that we tried to find the place where Peyton's car brakes down and Lucas picks her up. That was really hard at one point we were on a street (if you can call it that) in the middle of nowhere (definitely not the right place). But after several streets we finally found it.....but I must say it was not that spectacular that I thought it would be.
We also drove to the Tric club and the school.
And of course we drove to the famous bridge that you can see in the intro of the show. I tried to look as cool as Lucas does when he is jogging over the bridge......yeah?!.....lets just say it was the wrong light and that's why it didn't look as good as when Lucas does it.
The next morning we tried to find them filming somewhere and we think they were filming in Karen's Cafe but you couldn't see anything. Because they covered everything up with sheets. So we drove back to the river court and anjoyed the last time there before we had to leave for Washington D.C.
Hopefully I have time tomorrow to write about Washington before I leave the USA tomorrow.
Good night Sarah
